Suzanne Reed Fine
Suzanne is a fourth generation artist, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1967. A native of southern Colorado, Suzanne spent her early years studying alongside her grandmother, father and their contemporaries. While still in high school she began taking college courses, studying color theory and design with watermedia artist Stephen Quiller. Reed Fine attended Adams State University, receiving her Bachelors of Arts degree in Art, with emphasis on drawing and design, with minors in history and marketing. After graduation in 1989, she interned in ASU’s Student Activities department before her post graduate work at the Portfolio Center, in Atlanta, Georgia. Suzanne worked in graphic design for several years in Denver and Atlanta before she and her husband relocated to Yorktown, Virginia. It was during this time she decided to turn her focus to painting and became partner in Blue Skies Art Gallery. She studied with Stephen Quiller, Katherine Chang Liu, Alex Powers, Charles Reid, Judi Betts, and Eric Wiegardt. She has taken master classes with Bo Bartlett and Stephen Quiller whom she continues to paint and draw with.
She and her family reside in Columbus, Georgia, where she teaches both privately lessons and workshops. Her work has been accepted in many national shows as well as in private and corporate collections.
